Continue reading »]]> On Thursday 25 April 2013, Bariq Al Amal in conjunction with Channel Islam International and Breadline Africa had opened a Nelson Mandela Day container library at Mahlodumela School based in Chebeng which is approximately 23km from Polokwane. The size of the container is approximately 12m x 4m and can hold around 5000 books.

Bariq al Amal, a organisation based in Polokwane had raised funds towards this project and one of the projects was to compile a recipe book called “Polokwane’s Secret Recipes – A treasure to inspire” and had printed and sold this recipe book to raise funds towards the Library Project. The organisation is involved with many other projects in and around Polokwane. You can view their facebook page here

Continue reading »]]> On 20-21 April 2013, the PMTWF hosted a Family Fun Weekend, the activities included Ladies Netball, Stalls, Soccer, Horse Rides, Minute to Win it, Fun Walk, Jumping Castles and Slides, Fun Sports Activities, and more.

Despite the cold weather and the electricity problem on Saturday 21 April 2013, the event still continued and thanks to everyone for their support and understanding. However on Sunday, the weather was excellent and the event carried on as scheduled.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to thise event be it from sponsorship, participation, attendance, assistance etc. This event was a success thanks to you.

Continue reading »]]> On 3 March 2013, Nirvana Pre School hosted their annual al sports day, there was sports activities, stalls, blood donation by SANBS. 

Zunaid Bham a member of the PMTWF,  volunteered to be jailed and needed 5 volunteers to donate blood for his bail. 

The following people volunteered to donate blood for Zunaid to be released, were,  Ahmed Mohamed,  Yusuf Saloojee,  Ahmed Bham,  Yusuf Bham and Abdul Carrim Osman. 

There were many other volunteers from other organisations and private individuals who had volunteered to be jailed and to reach their target of 5 people to donate blood to be out on bail.

Continue reading »]]> Thousands of people have been affected by severe floods in Mozambique.  With the help of Allah SWT,  the Polokwane Muslim Trust Welfare Fund and Africa Muslims Agency plan to embark on a special mission to try and alleviate some of the problems that the people are facing. 

We request your financial assistance (Lillah only)  to distribute much needed aid (food,  clothing,  hygiene and agricultural products) in the Zambezia Province.  This province is located around Quelimane in the far north remote part of Mozambique and had been neglected by many Aid Agencies.

This collection will be Lillah only.

Continue reading »]]> Bariq al Amal in conjunction with Gift of the Givers will be raising funds for Yemen Drought. Bariq al Amal will have a special collection at all Jumuah Venues in Polokwane. Zakaat, Lillah and Sadqa.
